Washington, D.C., United States (AHN) – Secretary of State Hillary Clinton announced Thursday that she is ready to give up politics.

During a town hall meeting with State Department employees Thursday morning, Clinton said she is ready to step off “the high wire of American politics.” She said she she is paying no attention in the battle for the Republican nomination nor has she watched any of the heated debates.

Clinton gave no hints as to what she plans to do after leaving the Obama administration. Her departure from a very public and storied political life ends a two-person sovereignty in the servitude of the American people.

Her husband Bill Clinton served two terms as president, while Mrs. Clinton served as a senator from New York and also tenure in her current role as secretary of state.

But, Clinton’s fans who cannot get enough of the clan need not worry too much. Signs are that daughter Chelsea is seeking a more visible role. The once famously media shy former first daughter has recently signed on as as TV corespondent with NBC.
